Kailash
Kailash Manasarovar, located in the remote western region of Tibet, holds immense religious, cultural, and spiritual significance for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon followers. This region is revered not only for its breathtaking landscapes but also for its deep spiritual connection. The pilgrimage includes Mount Kailash, believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva, and Lake Manasarovar, considered one of the holiest lakes in the world.
Mount Kailash (6,638 m) is regarded as sacred in multiple religions and is known as the "Center of the Universe" in ancient cosmology. Pilgrims perform the Kora (circumambulation), a 52 km journey on foot around the mountain, believed to wash away sins. Nearby, Lake Manasarovar (4,590 m) is revered for its purity and is believed to cleanse sins and offer spiritual liberation. Its turquoise waters, reflecting the surrounding snow-capped peaks, create a mystical atmosphere. This sacred region draws pilgrims seeking spiritual enlightenment, natural beauty, and religious fulfillment.
